Program Description
Erin Ley's futuristic stories illustrate the significance of character development. Each story focuses on a different dominant character trait such as: responsibility, respect, honesty and accountability, compassion, self-discipline, generosity, and self-esteem. As Erin reads, relating to the trait of the day, she not only gives insight into the simple yet powerful application through the eyes of a young space academy student, she also presents age-appropriate interactive learning experiences. Writing and coloring utensils are used during activity time. Erin supplies the paper. In addition, Erin will donate copies of her books to the school's library prior to arriving, and 10% of book sales will be donated back to the school. One grade maximum per presentation.
