Program Description
Imagination and creative thinking! Ideas and self-expression! This is how Erin Ley's writers' workshops begin. After Erin reads one of her short stories, she encourages the students to remember a time when they experienced compassion—either giving or receiving it. Once the memory is clear in the student's mind, his or her treasure on paper will begin to unfold. Everyone has a unique voice and style. Toward the end, some may even want to share their work of art. Erin will donate copies of her books to the school's library prior to arriving, and 10% of book sales will be donated back to the school. One grade maximum per workshop.
